Terms of Service

The service

LivePrayerTime is a community-maintained directory of mosques and Islamic prayer (jamaat) times, offering location-based mosque discovery, prayer time schedules, user-contributed mosque information, map integration via Google Maps and Apple Maps, gamified contribution tracking, and an optional WhatsApp donation directory for Imams and Muezzins. By using the site or app, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use LivePrayerTime. Certain features require an account; you're responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account.

Not a religious authority

Times shown are either calculated estimates or community-submitted corrections — see our editorial policy for exactly how that works. LivePrayerTime is not a mosque, an Islamic authority, or an official communication channel for any mosque listed here. For time-critical religious obligations, confirm directly with the mosque.

Accounts and contributions

You're responsible for what you submit, including prayer time corrections. Submit only times you believe are accurate. By contributing, you grant us a license to display your contribution (attributed per our editorial policy) as part of the service. Don't submit false times, impersonate a mosque or its staff, or otherwise abuse the community-editing system.

The donation feature — please read carefully

"Donate" buttons on Imam/Muezzin profiles are a community goodwill initiative, not a payment product. Please understand exactly what this feature is and isn't:

• Peer-to-peer only.LivePrayerTime is solely a directory/referral tool. Tapping "Donate" opens WhatsApp to contact the individual directly. No donation ever flows through our platform.
• We are not a financial intermediary. We are not a payment processor, escrow service, or fundraising platform, and we never receive, hold, or process funds on behalf of any user.
• No vetting of recipients. We do not independently verify the identity, credentials, or legitimacy of anyone listed. Use your own judgment.
• No guarantee of use. We make no warranty about how a recipient uses funds given to them.
• Voluntary and your responsibility. Any donation is a voluntary, personal transaction between you and the recipient. We disclaim all liability for any loss, harm, or dispute arising from it — you assume full responsibility for funds you transfer.
• This feature is offered in the spirit of community support for those who serve local mosques. It is not a religious obligation enforced by the platform.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to harass others, scrape or bulk-extract data outside the terms in our API terms, or attempt to disrupt the platform.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is." Because timing data is community-maintained, we can't guarantee every time is current or correct at every moment. We're not liable for any consequence of relying on a time shown here, including missed or mistimed prayers, or for any outcome of the donation feature described above.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.
